Description | Throw a bunch of daggers all at once. |
RedPin (レッドニードル , Reddo nīdoru, lit. Red Needle?) is a tech used in Chrono Cross. Learned after acquiring 5 boss stars, Kid launches a volley of daggers at all opponents on the screen. Daggers make sense for this technique, as they are her primary weapon.
Description
Kid pulls out a bunch of daggers from behind her back, before throwing them at all foes present in the field. The daggers thrown are infused in a red-colored light.
Etymology
While Red is Kid's element, red is a word used to describe an increment of hotness. When something is red hot it is extremely heated. The use of pin her seems to imply that the shower of daggers will pin enemies to the ground, similar to tactics used in wrestling.
The name is also likely to be intended to be a direct reference to Frog and Lucca's double tech from Chrono Trigger, the Red Needle (which was officially known in English as "Red Pin" at the time of Chrono Cross's release).
