Folding (フォルディング , Forudingu?) is a Red tech used in Chrono Cross. After acquiring 15 boss stars, Macha uses her skill at folding laundry to wrap up a foe.

Walking over to the target, Mach grabs it. The screen flashes white and when she appears again, the enemy has miraculously transformed into a giant white shirt with gray embroidery. Several sparks erupt from it as she fans it out on the ground, folds it into a neat pile, and drops her derriere on top of it.
Name Origin[edit | edit source]
Inclined to doing chores, it is no wonder that Macha incorporates her skill of folding laundry in this technique. Interestingly, her official artwork for Chrono Cross shows her holding a basket of freshly folded laundry items. Alternatively, folding is a geological process in which a sheet of rock is flattened by an extreme force; not only does the animation for this tech reflect that geological process, Macha is a Red Innate, (implying magma or volcanic activity).
