Description Create a lunar eclipse that causes destruction

Lunairetic (月壊 , Tsuki kai, lit. Moon Break?) is Harle's Level 7 tech in Chrono Cross. Learned upon acquiring 25 boss stars, Harle gains the ability to call upon the powers of a lunar eclipse to inflict fairly heavy damage on all foes present on-screen. This tech is able to inflict any status types onto its targets, with the exception of anti-elements.

Description[edit | edit source]

Harle will swing her right arm across her chest once, raising herself up into the air. While floating in mid-air, she swivels round to face a crimson-colored moon, with a shadow slowly passing over it. When the moon is completely obscured by this shadow, a lunar eclipse is formed, which blurs out and disappears. The camera will then shift its focus onto the enemies, whereupon the eclipse is observed to form on the ground they are standing on. As the eclipse fades away, thick swirls of light engulf the foes, forming rainbows as the light is reflected in different directions. As the colorful light fades away, a scaly orb is observed to collect the foes into its middle. Purple-colored rings of light are observed to rush continuously into the middle of the orb, until the orb explodes in a vein of black-colored lines against a white-colored backdrop. The field then reverts back to normal, whereupon the foes are dropped from the sky and sustain damage accordingly.
