The Dragoon is an enemy appearing in Chrono Cross. Similar to the other Acacia Dragoon characters, Dragoons wear full armor, including gauntlets, a helmet, and a breastplate. Beneath their armor, they wear purple robes or girdles. Unlike the others of their ilk, Dragoons mount Dragons, similar to the Dragons that appear in DragonRider, a tech used by Zoah and Karsh. Dragoons can be uncommonly found patrolling the second highest floor of Fort Dragonia (Another World).
Dragoons usually appear alone, but are sometimes accompanied by Acacia PVTs or Googhouls. A Dragoon will be fought as a boss entering Fort Dragonia if the party has not received its fifteenth star and later as a regular enemy. For weapons, these soldiers wield lances, which they utilize by swinging at their foes. Of their many moves, Dragoons possess unique Techs, such as Acac.Breath and Lunge, both of which are able to inflict fairly heavy amounts of damage.
