Darkness is a negative Status Effect in Chrono Cross that lowers the victim's hit rate, thus causing them to miss physical attacks more frequently than usual. It can be inflicted via [[HellSoul] only if its instant death attack does not work. As a Black effect, it can be cured using the 2nd-level consumable Black element, BlackOut. It can also be cured with the fourth-level White consumable Panacea (Element). This status effect will go away automatically after the battle ends.
