In Chrono Cross, EagleEye buffs the Hit stat.

Hit (命中 Meichū?, Direct Hit), also known as Hit Percentage, Hit Rate, Accuracy etc., is a battle mechanic in the Chrono series that influences a character's or enemy's ability to successfully land an attack. In Chrono Trigger, the Ribbon accessory that Marle begins the game with increases the Accuracy statistic. The Acuity Ring is the only other accessory that increases Accuracy. Both Marle and Lucca's attack power is directly linked to their Accuracy since they use ranged weapons, rather than their Strength, even when they perform close-range attacks against enemies. This means that their attack power won't go up even if their Strength is increased either with Strength Capsules or accessories. Ayla and Magus have the highest growth rate for Accuracy when leveling up.

From the Nintendo DS version onward, Crono and Marle are able to increase their Accuracy (along with their Stamina and Speed) after defeating the Steel Shade and Alabaster Shade respectively at the Dimensional Vortex. It is possible for both of them to max out their Accuracy if the shades are defeated multiple times through New Game Plus.

In Chrono Cross, Hit Percentage can be augmented by casting the Green Element, EagleEye, and decreased by casting BatEye, which is also a Green Element. It can also be increased with various accessories, including the Silver Loupe, Sight Scope, Third Eye, Dragoon's Honor, and Dragoon's Glory.
