Barrier (バリア?) is a positive Status Effect in Chrono Trigger. When applied to a character, it reduces magic damage by 30% for a limited time for that battle only. The effect will also disappear if a character is knocked out and made unconscious.
It can be applied to a character using the following:
- using Magus's Tech called Barrier (Magic Wall in the SNES/PS versions)
- using the item Barrier Sphere on a character
- equipping the Prismatic Dress, the Regal Gown (exclusive to Chrono Trigger (DS), will also apply Protect), or the Shadowplume Robe (exclusive to Chrono Trigger (DS))
