Queen Leene is Queen of the Kingdom of Guardia during the Middle Ages. She is a distant ancestor of Marle and the two bear a startling resemblance.
In 600 AD, Queen Leene is kidnapped by Fiends led by Yakra and was held prisoner in Manolia Cathedral. In the original timeline before Crono, Marle and Lucca intervened, a search party was sent out and successfully rescued her, but when Marle arrived she was mistaken for the queen and the search was called off. In order to protect the timeline, Crono then was forced to rescue the queen himself. With the aid of Lucca and a shapeshifted swordsman calling himself Frog, Crono successfully defeated Yakra and returned Queen Leene to Guardia Castle.
Later in the game. Marle finds a letter attached to the rainbow shell in 1000 AD from Queen Leene, saying that family is permenant.
