The Frog King is a minor character that appears in Chrono Trigger. In c. 590 AD, he had stolen the Hero's Badge, the magic sigil that empowers the wielder of the Masamune. After Cyrus and Glenn chased him through Guardia Forest to retrieve it, Cyrus used the "Nirvana Strike" to seriously wound him, causing him to drop the badge and flee. He swears that he will return to get it back, but he never does come back.
