The Frog King is a minor character that appears in Chrono Trigger. In c. 590 AD, he steals the Hero's Badge, the magic sigil that empowers the wielder of the Masamune. After Cyrus and Glenn chase him through Guardia Forest to retrieve it, Cyrus uses the "Nirvana Strike" to seriously wound Frog King, causing him to drop the badge and flee. He swears that he will return to get it back, but he never does come back.
