The RedMoaman is an enemy fought in Chrono Cross alongside the boss KingMoaman as well as the enemy BlueMoaman atop the Viper Manor Bluffs when on Guile's route. It uses Strengthen and Weaken often.
Battle and Strategy[edit | edit source]
The RedMoaman, as his name implies, mostly uses Red Element support magic (Strengthen to increase the KingMoaman's attack power; Weaken to decrease atk power of a party member) and the red elemental attacks FlameSword and MagmaBomb - FlameSword allows him to inflict fairly large red damage on a single target and can inflict the Burn status effect; whereas the MagmaBomb allows him to attack all party members for moderate red elemental damage. Note that the RedMoaman always starts the battle by using Strengthen on the KingMoaman before he begins to attack.
In addition, he joins in with the KingMoaman and BlueMoaman for their Black triple tech the TwinTurbo, which does large damage to a single party member.
To win this battle, it is recommended to get rid of both this enemy and his Blue counterpart, the BlueMoaman before focusing on the KingMoaman, due to them having lower HP, because of their focus on buffing their King, and to prevent them from using the triple tech TwinTurbo as well as their individual techs the FlameSword and the IceSword. It is also recommended to come equipped with Ointments and Medicine to cure Burn and Flu Status Effects that the Red and BlueMoamans inflict.
