The Carpenter is a character in Chrono Trigger.
Biography
The Carpenter and his descendant both live in Choras. In 600 AD, he offers to repair the Northern Ruins if you can get him a new set of tools. The party then travels to 1000 A.D. to obtain the tools from his descendant, who they find at the local tavern. He instructs them to obtain them from his wife, who rants about her husband's obsession with drinking. Once the Carpenter in the Middle Ages is given the tools, he and his four apprentices fix the first segment of the ruins for free. Afterwards, he asks for a small payment each time.
