Frame

Frames are obtainable items in Chrono Cross that change the pattern with which the text-box displays text. Players start with hree frames already acquired, with the other 12 being acquirable as if they were items, for a total of 15 frames in the game.

Starting Frames

• Arnian Wood (default frame)
• Simple Line
• Iron Plate

These three frames players start with. Go to the options in the menu to switch between them.

Frames that can be found

• Shellfish - Inspect the merchant's cart in Home World's Arni for this one.
• Tea for Three - Found in Termina (Home World). Go to the top of the stairs from the entrance screen (don't leave the screen) to the statue, then search around the building to the left of the statue (but don't enter it). There is a person you can't see, but can talk to, and they'll give you this frame if you manage to do so.
• Porre's Furnace
• Skullduggery
• Tropical Paradise - Recruit Macha and you will get this one automatically.
• Guldovian Stitch
• Infrared Vision
• Valencian Cloth - After cleansing Marbule with the Song of Marbule, bring a party full of demi-humans to the city and talk to the town greeter to receive this frame.

• Our Favorite Martian
• Snakes & Orbs
• Quill and Papyrus
