Battle[edit | edit source]

Potpourri generally do not physically attack party members. Instead, when their Hit Points are reduced to critical condition, they unleash a ToxicBurst and perish. ToxicBurst has the potential to inflict the Poisoned status effect on all characters on-screen, and as such, the player is advised to have a stock of Antidotes at hand to counter this.

Name Origin[edit | edit source]

Potpourri is a type of salad of dead plant-like, usually comprised of flower petals and decayed fruit, heavily doused in perfume. Potpourri functions as ornamentation and an sort of organic air-freshener.

The Japanese name of the Potpourri, Aroma Pack, is a pun on the fact that said enemy is basically made up of a gas which it releases as it activates ToxicBurst. Ironically enough, the aforementioned gas is mostly likely foul-smelling, as it has the potential to inflict negative status effects on all foes.
