The Gizmotoid is an enemy appearing in Chrono Cross. Alongside Aero-Guards, Combots and Gyroblades, Gizmotoids patrol Chronopolis to hamper the progress of the party to FATE. Gizmotoids are air vehicles, powered by propellers, that levitate above the ground. Gizmotoids can be trapped in the Forget-Me-Not Pot and added to the pool of Doppelgangs performed by Sprigg.
Battle and Strategy[edit | edit source]
Gizmotoids usually appear in pairs, alongside one or two Gyroblades. On infrequent occasions, Gizmotoids are accompanied by Aero-Guards in battle. Gizmotoids attack by swiveling their bodies on the rods before jabbing their foes with a slender blade attached to their undersides, dealing fairly heavy damage in the process. Gizmotoids possess a unique tech of their own, which is that of HighBeam. This tech allows them to emit blinding light from the headlamps stationed on their fronts to inflict heavy damage onto their foes.
