The Alphabat is an enemy in Chrono Cross. Found in Fort Dragonia (Another World) and Viper Manor (Home World), these bat-like creatures can be found fluttering about in various rooms of said location. They fight using a series of body slams and bites while afloat in the air. They pose very minimal challenge, and are unable to inflict very heavy amounts of damage. They utilize a wide range of Black elements, alongside one unique tech, DarkBeam, which they use fairly frequently. Alphabats can be trapped in the Forget-Me-Not Pot and added to the pool of Doppelgangs performed by Sprigg.
