The Googhoul is an enemy appearing in Chrono Cross. Found in the bowels of Fort Dragonia, these winged-cyborgs roam the halls, serving as sentinels for the Dragon Pillars. They are similar in appearance to Gobledygooks. Googhouls can be trapped in the Forget-Me-Not Pot and added to the pool of Doppelgangs performed by Sprigg.

Battle and Strategy

Googhouls generally appear in pairs, sometimes accompanied by Combats, Cybots or Alphabats. On infrequent occasions, a Googhoul may appear alongside a Dragoon. Sticking primarily to physical attacks, these robotic bats will strike a single opponent twice successively, and its accompanying pair will also strike the party, sometimes even striking the same target as its counterpart. While reserving itself to physical blows, it will periodically cast Gnash, a Yellow Tech. While not very powerful, Gnash does hit several times in a row, which can prove to be lethal should the target be anywhere below half its maximum Hit Points.
