Whoot is an enemy fought in Chrono Cross in Terra Tower. It is an owl-like monster which floats in the air with its legs crossed. It does not appear on the field, but instead always appears accompanying either the Myxomycete or Cupoid enemies, but it is a rare monster that does not appear often.
Battle and Strategy[edit | edit source]
In addition to regular physical attacks, it generally uses OwlEyes, an enemy tech unique to this enemy which inflicts random status effects; and LoRes which temporarily lowers a party member's defense. When it runs low on HP, it will use what is perhaps its most dangerous tech, PhysNegate, which will nullify the targeted party member's attacks for a set period of time. It is recommended to defeat the Whoot quickly as its elements are all fairly vexating to deal with.
