The Betta Carotene (ニジニンジン niji ninjin?, "Rainbow Carrot") is a weapon in Chrono Cross. It can only be used by Janice. It can be found in a treasure chest in Terra Tower. Together with the Spectral Glove (which is also found in Terra Tower), it is the only Rainbow Shell weapon that can be found, as opposed to being forged.
Name origin[edit | edit source]
"beta-Carotene", in the title, stems from an organic pigment found in carrots. Since Janice serves as a rabbit-like Demi-human, this title for her weapon seems appropriate. "Betta" is probably a misspelling.
