Japanese Name | Fat Beast (ファットビースト fatto bīsuto?) | |
SNES / PS Name | Tubster |
The Blubber Hulk (also known as Tubster in the SNES/PS version) is an enemy in Chrono Trigger that appears in the Black Omen.
Description[edit | edit source]
He shares similar sprites with a Boss, Heckran, although Blubber Hulk is smaller. He is big and rotund, with a dog-like nose and a generally angry expression on his face. He has two big, white horns atop his head and four smaller spikes on his back. He has enourmous, dangerous claws and fangs.
Etymology[edit | edit source]
Blubber is a thick layer of fat found beneath the skin of some animals, like for example whales. Hulk is a fiction character created by Marvel Comics. He sports gigantic muscles and incredible strength. The name Blubber Hulk is fitting seeing as this enemy is very fat, albeit very strong too.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- It is possible to receive more than one Strength Capsule by running away from the fight right after the Charm tech is used. This process can then be repeated as many times as desired by simply exiting through one of the doors nearby and then reentering - thus allowing for an infinite supply of Strength Capsules.
