The Aecytonyx (also known as Leaper in the SNES/PS version) is an enemy in Chrono Trigger. It appears in the Giant's Claw in the Middle Ages. They share the same sprite as Crested Sprinter, who appears far earlier in the game. They are yellow and small. They have a relatively long tail and a big horn in their head that can be used to trust into their enemy and cause damage. They can jump relatively high, which is useful in one of their main attacks, Stomp, in which they jump on top of an enemy and stomp them.

Battle and Strategy

Normally appearing in groups of two or more, they are generally easy to kill. Since their physical defense is relatively high, it is better to use Magic against these creatures, or Techs that, albeit being physical, deal Magic damage.
