Yoshinori Kitase (北瀬 佳範 Kitase Yoshinori?) (born September 23, 1966) is a Japanese game producer, scenario writer, and a former game director working for Square Enix. He joined Square in 1991.
His most notable roles as game director are Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, {[w|Final Fantasy VII}}, and Final Fantasy VIII. Kitase later worked as producer for Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2. Kitase is currently working on The 3rd Birthday, part of the Parasite Eve series, as executive producer and on Final Fantasy XIII as producer. Kitase is also the head of Square Enix's Production Team 1.
