Gato is an enemy in Chrono Trigger that can be found at Leene Square in the Present. He is a training robot built and maintained by Lucca. You can fight him in a mock fight for a few EXP as well as 15 Silver Points. He sings to his opponents immediately before and after the battle.
In Chrono Cross, Serge and his party spot him when they go back in time to save an eleven year old Kid from Lucca's burning house. By this time, he is badly damaged and barely functioning. He has a few moments to tell them that Lucca and Kid are still inside before he breaks down completely.
