The Sun Keep (also known as Sun Temple in the SNES/PS version) is a location in Chrono Trigger that appears in all time eras of Chrono Trigger. The Sun Keep plays a role during an optional part of the game. If the heroes acquire the Moon Stone, it can be recharged here.
Description
The Sun Keep is a small cave located on the North-eastern section of all maps. Inside, there is a small set of stairs leading to a pedestal bathed in light. The interior indicates there is a small hole that allows sunlight inside.
Gameplay
After acquiring the Moon Stone, you can recharge it by leaving it in the Sun Keep from Prehistory until 2300 AD. The problem occurs in 1000 AD when someone takes the stone. It winds up in the hands of the Mayor of Porre. He won't give you the stone back. However, you can travel to 600 AD to speak to his ancestor.
