Leene's Bell is a large, copper bell forged in the year 600 AD in honor of Leene, Queen of Guardia. It is set as the centerpiece of Leene Square shortly thereafter.

People whose meeting is heralded by the bell is said to be fated, and has passed into a local legend of the bell's ring being a sign of destiny. Such is the case when Crono meets Marle.

In 1000 AD, as the Millennial Fair came to a close, the King of Guardia revealed a new bell: Nadia's Bell, in honor of his daughter. Depending on the ending, Marle and Crono either float away into the sky on the balloons that had held the bell; or the king is humorously left hanging from the archway, trying to hang the bell in its place while Marle and crew head off into the future to try and save Crono.
