The Sun Stone is a Key Item in Chrono Trigger. It is the item you get for completing the Sun Stone side-quest. If you do the Rainbow Shell side-quest after you get the Sun Stone, when Melchior goes to the Rainbow Shell to make something out of it, you can also get Sunglasses from him.
