This is a walkthrough guide I've created for the unofficial Chrono Trigger Crimson Echoes page. Since there are no walkthrough guides for Crimson Echoes or Flames of Eternity. I have decided to create this guide for Chrono Trigger Crimson Echoes, this is based on my gameplay experience. You may edit my page to add to the '''item list, weapon list, armor list, accessory list or Character Tech list or add copyright related screenshot images''' or correct me and my grammar if I've goofed up. '''If you want to make a separate walkthrough you may copy my walkthrough guide and edit it however you, please.''' My Walkthrough is incomplete and sometimes unprofessional or too wordy. I may have made mistakes or goofed up during the editing process as I'm an imperfect autistic man. Your help to fixing my walkthrough is welcome. Make sure you have actually played Chrono Trigger Crimson Echoes or Flames of Eternity before you help me out. You may refer to the Youtube video gameplay footage for reference. Also please note that there are glitches and bugs in the game that is sometimes game breaking or that will help you out please refrain from deleting them.

==My Review and ratings==
'''Chrono Trigger Crimson Echoes 9/10'''
This Crimson Echoes is by far the best sequel to Chrono Trigger, I like that Glenn retains his frog form and Magus can steal items and use Double Tap magic combined with wearing Cyan Armor for over 17,600 damage. I like that they reuse the original music from Chrono Trigger. I also like the Coliseum Nu fights which allows the player to get 60 tech points. I also like the multiple endings to this game that you can find in Tabans flower pot at Lucca's house. This is the best version to play, sadly due to the copyright cease and desist letter by Square Enix, a few areas are unfinished including the ending credits and there's some game breaking glitches in the game.
'''Chrono Trigger Flames of Eternity 6/10'''
This updated Flames of Eternity version I'm a little mixed on, I did not like the unskippable opening cutscene due to how unskippable it was and is annoying when you want to go right into the game. I also didn't like the changes they made to Glenn with him now in his human form. Yes Magus rocks, not only can he use Double Tap Magic with wearing Cyan Armor for over 17,600 damage, he can now get the most powerful weapon The Tennant from the Mall in 2305 which I highly recommend if you're playing this version. Also I didn't like that the New Game Plus and multiple endings at Tabans flower pot portal is removed and replaced with 2 generic endings and no option for New Game plus. And the credits are added but they don't include Kajar Labs creator for the original romhack version I also have mixed feelings on arranged music and other songs from other games depending on which version you play. There's also some annoying game breaking glitches including the music lockup boss battle which should've been fixed for Coliseum which I have to reset my game everytime. I would only play this downgraded game update once and go back to the superior Chrono Trigger Crimson Echoes.

'''Magus-''' A former enemy to Crono who became an ally in Chrono Trigger in the scenario where he isn't killed off. Early on in the game you get to play as Magus and he starts off weak. But once you get him Double Tap magic and once you get Cyan Cover, he is unstoppable due to a programming cheat glitch and is the best character ever. Magus has a pretty good attack with the scythe and he has powerful dark magic including Dark Matter and he can now charm enemies for items, you'll want to invest in Magus and level him up, make sure you learn Double Tap and equip Cyan Cover armor because it will cause Magus to be a powerhouse. Magus in this sequel is even more powerful than in Chrono Trigger. Only in Crimson Echoes.

*'''Should I use Magus: Absolutely yes, Magus scythe attack is okay not as powerful as Aylas fist attack or Cronos sword attack. There is a cheat glitch which if you get Double Tap and equip Magus with Cyan Cover. He can do over 17,600 HP which can easily take out strong enemies and defeat any boss including King Zeal. This character is highly recommended for beginners who want to cheat and get through hard boss battles. Also in the Flames of Eternity version if you get Magus The Tennant Scythe weapon it will do up to 9999 damage if he performs a critical hit. Ranked first place in Crimson Echoes.'''

'''Robo-''' A robot friend who Lucca met in 2300 AD and rescued in the former Lavos apocalypse era, early on in the game you get to play as Robo but he starts off a slow fighter, he has powerful fist attacks. He can cure allies use 3 different elements Fire, Lightning, Shadow and can use attack techs. Unfortunately, there's a freeze glitch with Robo's Steel Crash attack which can literally crash the game at random so use it at your own risk. Robo is a powerful character if you level him up, he can cure all allies and has Greenmemory which can give the player auto life.

'''Ayla-''' An ally who saved Crono from the Reptites in 65,000,000 BC and is a strong female fighter. You only get this character late in the game. Make sure you save her, otherwise you won't get to play her. Ayla is worth recruiting in your party, she has a powerful fist attack which can easily take out any enemy in the game, she can heal all characters in the game. She has the most powerful Triple Kick tech attack and can cast berserk on herself. Sadly, she can no longer charm enemies. If you get Ayla up to level 73 you get her Iron Fist and if you get her leveled up to level 96, she has a bronze fist attack which can deal 9,999 HP on a critical attack.

It is very tedious to get to level 96 due to level grinding like in Chrono Trigger but her Bronze fist can do up to 9,999 HP of damage. But Magus does almost twice the damage. She is the second best character and is highly recommended for beginners. Ranked second place.'''

You can also talk to Belthasar about the side quests you haven't done yet which you can still do. Refer to the side quest section for more information.

Once you are done leveling up and are finished with the side quests you can now get ready to go to 19,995 BC and go to North Cave and examine the vortex portal, Belthasar will apologize for his reckless behavior. Use the Time Egg and you'll enter the time distortion dimension. Make sure you bring Magus along because this dungeon is the hardest dungeon ever since some of the enemies can kill your team. Once you enter the Ocean Palace Zeal type room. Go left and open the chest to get '''Crimsehood'''. Then go right 2 screens, open the chest to get '''Arco Iris'''. Go left in the main entrance, go up and follow the winding path, you'll encounter a Frozen flame that'll talk to you continue on. Go to the right at the dead end to fight 2 Goons. Then open the chest only to find out it's empty. Continue up the winding hallway, you'll fight Ruminators and Mutants, defeat them and continue on. Go up in the door and you'll meet Nu who will offer to take you outside. Choose Stay and Nu will tell you that your party needs to split up into 2 groups. '''Whatever you do, leave out Marle she's the weakest party member and will make your game harder. Unfortunately, Magus can be in one group. Be careful of the enemies as they can easily kill the party members especially the deadly Hexapod enemies.'''
