The PAGENAME is an enemy fought in CC. Initially encountered on Water Dragon Isle, after the death of the Water Dragon in Home World, Serge finds several Scorpiods among the human surveyors, scouting out the dried ruins in search of the Dragon God. These strange, arthropod-like creatures are light-pink in color, and their heads are attached to their droplet-shaped bodies by lengthy neck extensions. They also possess two pairs of legs, which stick out awkwardly on their sides. Scorpiods can be trapped in the Forget-Me-Not Pot and added to the pool of Doppelgangs performed by Sprigg.

Scorpoids prefer to fight in packs of threes. Occasionally only a pair will be encountered. Relatively simple to battle, it is advised to watch out for their tech NeedleWork, which can be lethal.
Scorpiods prefer to fight in packs of threes, and are occasionally known to fight in ones, twos or fours. Scorpiods atack bu swinging their heads at selected targets before snapping at them, inflicting fairly heavy damage in the process. They are also known to use quite a range of elements, such as Bushbasher and TurnBlue. Scorpiods are also known to cast the powerful Iceberg element rarely in battle, and as such, it is up to the player's discretion as to whether to set the ↓Iceberg trap. Relatively simple to battle, it is advised to watch out for the special tech NeedleWork (which is incidentally shared with the Puffy), which can be lethal as it is capable of inflicting heavy amounts of damage.

Scorpoid appears to be named after the actual animal, scorpion, coming from the Latin word, Scropius. The suffix -oid means of or like the word that precedes it. So Scorp-, shorthand for Scorpion, plus -oid, literally means this enemy is "Scorpion-like.

The Japanese name of this enemy, Scorpio, is merely the shortened version of the word scorpion.
