Because [[Reptite]]s are vulnerable to [[Lightning]], [[Crono]] should cast this upon Nizbel at the beginning of the battle. After doing so, Nizbel's [[Defense]] drops astronomically, leaving him weak to all other attacks. Avoiding this step makes the battle much more difficult, as all [[Tech]]s and attacks will do little to no damage. Once struck with Lightning, unleash powerful dual techs on him. Since [[Ayla]] is a mandatory party member for this battle, and her Tech pool is incredibly low at this point in the game, she should alternate between physically attacking Nizbel once his Defense is lowered and using [[Kiss]] on party members to recover from Nizbel's powerful Electric Discharge attack. Ideally, [[Marle]] should be the third party member present. Constantly cast [[Ice Sword]] on Nizbel until he unleashes his strong Electric Discharge attack, then use [[Aura Whirl]] to heal all party members. This tactic unleashes large amounts of damage, heals all party members, and frees up Ayla's turns. After Nizbel uses Electric Discharge, his Defense stat rises to its normal level.
