| Puffies usually appear in twos or threes, and are sometimes accompanied by [[JellyBlubba]]s, [[Mantarrey]]s or [[Sidesteppa]]s. They attack by body-slamming into their enemies, whereupon the spikes on their bodies will inflict fairly heavy amounts of damage onto said foes. Incapable of using elements of any sort, Puffies make up for this by possessing a special tech which they share with the [[Scorpiod]], [[NeedleWork]]. NeedleWork enables Puffies to release a barrage of spikes from its body at selected targets to inflict heavy amounts of damage. On the whole, Puffies can prove to be fairly formidable foes, due to the strength of its attacks, both physical and tech wise. It is advised to unleash [[Green (Element)|Green]]-based elements or techs on these foes to take them out as soon as possible in battle.

This is unlike actual puffer fish, which possess spines that are kept hidden within their bodies unless threatened.
