The '''{{PAGENAME}}''' {{altname|Nereid}} is an enemy in {{CT}}. First appearing in the [[Abandoned Sewers]] in the [[Future]], Dondrago are aquatic lizards that lurk in the sewage and waste water of the sewers. Shown only from the neck down, they are mostly submerged in water when encountered in battles and sport yellow fins on either side of their heads. Occasionally, Dondrago hide beneath the waters of the Abandoned Sewers and are startled by loud noises produced by various items stationed around this area such as the phony [[Save Point]] or the stray [[Cat]]. Once Crono touches the object and startles the creatures, they lurch forth and attack. 

==Battle and Strategy==
Accompanying one another in pairs or triplets, Dondrago prefer to cast [[Water (Tech)|Water]] and [[Lightning]] in battle - though they cast the former far more often the latter. Since they arrange themselves in clusters, [[Crono]]'s [[Cyclone]] tech can diminish their [[Hit Point]]s fairly quickly to avoid lengthy battles. Equipping [[Blue Vest]] before battling them is a wise tactic, which will convert the damage from one of their techs into Hit Points. Additionally, [[Light]]-element Techs deal added damage, similar to most other aquatic creatures. This is probably attributed to the fact that water conducts electricity.

Dondrago's [[SNES]] and [[PlayStation]] name, {{w|Nereid}}, is type of aquatic naiad or nymph from Greek Myth.
