The Bubba Dingo is an enemy appearing in Chrono Cross. Bubba Dingoes have puppy-like appearances, with black-colored fur coats. Their beige-colored heads are bigger than their bodies and in place of an ordinary dog's nose, they have a pig's snout instead. For reasons unknown, they wear a constant enraged expression on their faces whenever they are encountered.
The Bubba Dingo is an enemy appearing in Chrono Cross. Found solely in Fossil Valley, these puppy-like creatures roam about said location, usually under the watchful eye of a Mama Dingo. They also appear as pets kept by certain citizens of Arni (Another World), specifically the restaurant owner. Bubba Dingoes are the weaker versions of the Mama Dingo, and attack by means of head-butting and biting, and are only able to inflict mediocre amounts of damage in the process. They are only able to use just one Red element, which happens to be that of Weaken, and even then, they use it rather infrequently. Bubba Dingoes possess a unique tech known as Sic'em, which allows them to inflict slightly heavier amounts of damage. Bubba Dingoes can be trapped in the Forget-Me-Not Pot and added to the pool of Doppelgangs performed by Sprigg.

However, when Mama Dingo is not present or when she has been defeated by the party, they tend to attack each other rather than the party, making it rather easy to beat them.

Battle and Strategy
Bubba Dingoes usually travel in packs of four, alongside one Mama Dingo. They are the weaker versions of their mothers, and attack by means of head-butting and biting, and are only able to inflict mediocre amounts of damage in the process. They are only able to use just one Red element, which happens to be that of Weaken, and even then, they use it rather infrequently. Bubba Dingoes possess a unique tech known as Sic'em, which allows them to inflict fairly heavy amounts of damage.

The best strategy when taking on these enemies is generally to first get rid of their mother if she is present (using blue elements if available to make the process faster), after which the Bubba Dingos will tend to be too focused on attacking each other than the party, making it a very simple process to eliminate them. While the Bubba Dingo is easier to kill than the Mama Dingo, this is not recommended as the Mama Dingo will become enraged and use the Strengthen element to increase her physical damage when this happens.

Name Origin
The word 'Bubba' is commonly used in Australia and New Zealand as a noun or pronoun to refer affectionately to a baby, while the word 'Dingo' refers to the Australian free-roaming wild dogs unique to the continent of Australia, mainly found in the outback. Since the Bubba Dingo is strongly reminiscent of a dog, alongside the fact that it is a baby of sorts, its name is hence a befitting one. The Japanese name of this enemy could be a play on the fact that the Bubba Dingo has a pig's snout instead of a dog's nose, hence causing said enemy to have piggish qualities.
