Alfador is the purple feline pet of Janus in Chrono Trigger. Alfador truly serves no plot purpose, but does show little important things such as how Janus remarks that Alfador only likes him. After Dalton is eliminated permanently, going to the Commons in 12000 BC with Magus in the player's party will help show Magus is actually Janus as an adult when Alfador will follow your team, particularly next to Magus wherever he is in the party, but if Magus is not with the party, then Alfador will merely ignore them.
