WetPaint (べたぬり , Beta nuri, lit. Solid?) is Van's Level 5 tech in Chrono Cross. Learned upon gaining 15 boss stars, Van gains the ability to fling paint all over the battlefield to randomly change the field color.

Van will first turn on his heel and crouch on the ground. He will then throw out painting materials to his left and his right, before getting up abruptly. The camera will then shift its focus to the sky, whereby three bottles of paint are observed to fall from. The field color will then be changed according to the color of the paint that spills out of the bottles.
