The Speed Capsule (also known as Speed Tab in the SNES/PS version) is a consumable item in Chrono Trigger. It increases the basic Speed stat of any character it is used on by 1.

Speed Capsules can be found most commonly as a blue spark on the field, but can also be found by using Ayla's Charm techs on certain enemies or by receiving one from an NPC. There are a total of 31 Speed Capsules in the game, with 11 of them being obtained from Spekkio in the End of Time, 9 of them being Charmable, and the other 11 being found on the map or from NPCs. That is the lowest of any Capsule. No Speed Capsules can be found in Prehistory.

• Beat Spekkio between levels 40 and 98 (when he's in Masa&Mune form). Also awards 1 Magic Capsule and 1 Strength Capsule.

• Beat Spekkio at level 99 (when he's in Nu form). Awards 10 Magic Capsules, 10 Strength Capsules, and 10 Speed Capsules.

Antiquity
