The Shield Cloak (プロテクトコート purotekuto kōto?, Protect Coat) is a consumable item that exclusively appears in the Arena of Ages in Chrono Trigger (DS), which can be bought there for 400 gold. When used, it boosts said monster's defense, reducing damage from enemy attacks. Like all other Arena items, the Shield Cloak can't be used outside of the Arena of Ages.
