WaveOfFear (恐怖の波動 , Kyōfu no hadō?) is a Yellow enemy Tech used by the Hydra, the WightKnight, and Terrator in Chrono Cross. This tech allows its user to cast a spell on all its foes to temporarily decrease their Defenses. The tech is almost always accompanied by SpiritsUp.
Description[edit | edit source]
Translucent shields will first appear in front of each foe present on-screen. In flashes of electricity, the shields will shatter into tiny yellow sparkles, one after another according to the order of the foes. A message will then flash across the screen to announce the decrease in the foes' defenses.
Name Origin[edit | edit source]
It can be assumed that while fear-stricken, one lets one's guard down.
