The Taurminator is an enemy in Chrono Cross. Taking on the form of dark-skinned oxen possessing rippling muscles, these ferocious creatures of terror can be found roaming the scours of Mount Pyre in Home World. Taurminators can be trapped in the Forget-Me-Not Pot and added to the pool of Doppelgangs performed by Sprigg.

Battle and Strategy
Taurminators usually travel alone, but are sometimes accompanied by HotDoggities, [{CatBurglar]]s or Lava-boys. On infrequent occasions, they are also known to appear in packs of fours. A Taurminator may be fought in one of three rounds in the Grand Slam Tournament, alongside a Beeba and a Gloop. Taurminators attack by using head-butting their foes, causing their horns to penetrate said foes' bodies for heavy amounts of damage. They are also known to use a small range of Red elements such as Strengthen and Inferno, though rather infrequently. They also possess a special tech of their own, which is that of Charge!. Charge! allows Taurminators to build up a concentration of energy around their bodies before literally charging forward and ramming into selected targets to inflict massive amounts of damage. On the whole, Taurminators are a force to be reckoned with, and will pose quite a formidable challenge to the under-prepared. Blue elements are strongly advised to be used against these creatures.

Name Origin
The Japanese name of this enemy, Buff, is a pun on the fact that Taurminators possess powerful, muscular bodies. The word buff is a colloquialism for a muscular physique.
