The Enlightened Ones are characters in Chrono Trigger. They are the portion of humanity during Antiquity who are able to use magic. This made them a higher class than the Earthbound Ones, and they lived in the magical Kingdom of Zeal, which floated above the clouds that shrouded the planet in an Ice Age. They were soon brought down to where the Earthbound Ones lived after Lavos destroyed Zeal.
